Payment Review helps you classify payments before they are treated cleanly in revenue reports. Naayya pre-fills a best guess from the information on each payment, and you can keep or change it.
Use it when a payment's classification, source, or reporting treatment is unclear.
When to review a payment#
Review a payment when:
- the Payments page says payments need classifying
- The payment source is unclear
- A manual/offline record needs context
- A payment does not match the expected product or customer
- Reporting would be misleading without classification
How to review payments#
- Open Admin > Payments.
- If the page shows a payments need classifying banner, select Review.
- On Classify payments, check the customer, product, amount, method, status, date, reference, and notes.
- Keep the pre-filled classification when it matches the evidence, or choose another option.
- Select Save batch when the rows are ready.
When several payments belong to one customer, you can use Classify all as. If several rows have the same note, you can apply the same choice to those rows. Check each payment before applying a group action.
What to check#
Before changing anything, check:
- Customer
- Product
- Amount
- Payment method
- Payment status
- Date
- Any manual reference or note
If you choose Also cancel this payment, use it only when a pending or failed record should be canceled. This cancels the payment record for reporting; it does not refund money that was already collected. Confirm the record and use the appropriate refund workflow when money needs to be returned.
Keep notes useful#
If you add context, keep it factual and specific.
Good note: "Bank transfer received on 2026-06-01, reference INV-1042."
Weak note: "Fixed."
