Use the Teaching Team to keep teaching profile details current and to review whether a profile is linked to a staff record.
Accessing Teacher Management#
Go to Admin > Teachers and choose Manage Teaching Profile on a row. On the profile page, choose Edit to update the fields shown there. The page also shows profile status and the available linking actions.
Editing Teacher Information#
Click Edit on the teaching profile page. The current dialog includes Full Name, Primary Style, Instagram Handle, Profile Image, and Bio. Choose Save Changes when you are done. Staff contact details are managed from the related staff record under Admin > Settings > Staff.
Profile Photos#
Upload a profile image from the teaching profile's Edit dialog.
Photo Requirements#
The current editor accepts image files under 5 MB. Choose an image that clearly represents the person and check how it appears on the profile after saving.
Uploading Photos#
Choose Change Photo or Upload Photo in the Edit dialog, select an image file, and choose Save Changes.
Banner Images#
The teacher details page can show a Card banner item in its Profile Completion card. The Edit dialog provides a Profile Image control but no separate Card banner field, so use the controls shown on your current page.
Teacher Bios#
Use the Bio field in the Edit dialog to describe the teacher's background, approach, and focus. The field uses a rich text editor, so review the saved result on the profile page.
Bio Structure That Works#
Start with a brief introduction, then describe the person's approach and focus. Keep details current and easy for customers to understand.
Example Bio#
Sarah teaches Vinyasa and Yin Yoga, with a focus on breath awareness and mindful movement. Her classes welcome people who want to build a steady, practical practice.
Social Media Links#
Use the Instagram Handle field when the teacher wants to add an Instagram username to the profile. Follow the format shown in the current field and review the profile after saving.
Linking Unlinked Teaching Profiles#
If a teaching profile shows the Unlinked badge, you can connect it to an existing staff member.
When to Link a Profile#
- The profile already exists and you need to match it to a staff record
- You are connecting a profile to the correct person after onboarding
- You are reviewing an unlinked profile in the Teaching Team
How to Link a Profile#
- Open the teaching profile from Admin > Teachers.
- Open the profile actions menu.
- Choose Link Staff Member.
- Search for and select the matching staff member.
- Confirm the link.
After Linking#
The profile should no longer show the Unlinked badge when the link is saved. Review the related staff record to confirm the current access and profile actions available to that person.
Profile Completion#
On an individual teacher page under Admin > Teachers, the Profile Completion card checks six items: Profile picture, Card banner, Bio, Primary style, Instagram, and Full name. The Teaching workspace completion banner is a separate view: it checks Bio, Profile Image, and Primary Style as required, while Instagram Handle is optional.
Advanced Settings#
Use the profile actions shown on the page, including Public Profile when it is available. The current Edit dialog does not show separate SEO, profile URL, or contact visibility controls. Review the public profile before sharing it with customers.
Managing Multiple Teachers#
For multiple teachers, use the Active and Inactive tabs on Admin > Teachers to find profiles, then open each profile to review the details and actions shown there.
Managing Teacher Status#
From the teacher profile page, you can:
Activate/Deactivate Teachers#
- Activate or Deactivate the teaching profile.
The profile shows an Active or Inactive status after the action. Review the current profile and service setup before relying on any downstream booking or customer-facing result.
Profile Connection Status#
- Linked: The teaching profile is connected to a staff member.
- Unlinked: The profile shows the Unlinked badge and offers Link Staff Member in its actions.
Archiving vs Deleting Teachers#
The current profile actions show Deactivate or Activate. No Delete action is shown in the profile workflow described here. Verify the effect of a status change in your current setup before relying on it for customer visibility or record retention. See Teacher Status Management for the related workflow.
Common Issues#
Image upload error: Choose an image file under 5 MB. The current editor reports when the file is not an image or is too large.
Images look blurry: Try a clearer source image, then save the profile again and review the result.
Rich text formatting not saving: Use the editor's built-in tools rather than copying from external sources. Some special characters can cause issues.
Changes not showing: Make sure you clicked Save Changes and try refreshing your browser. Check the admin panel first to confirm changes saved properly.
Can't link profile: Check that you are selecting the correct staff record. If the person still needs a staff record or invitation, start from Admin > Settings > Staff.
