Create one class for an activity your business offers, then schedule the dates customers can book. A standard class, workshop, or course can have a different purchase and booking path, so choose Class type before setting up pricing. See Workshop vs Course if the choice is unclear.
Creating your first class#
- Go to Admin > Classes and select Add Class. If the list is empty, the button may say Create Class.
- In Create class draft, enter a name, choose Class type (Standard class, Workshop, or Course), and choose a Planned run such as Ongoing, Fixed term, Seasonal or One-off, where available for that type.
- Select Create draft. Naayya opens the new class so you can finish its details, schedule and pricing.
If a class with the same name exists, review the warning. You can open the existing class or deliberately create another draft. The draft is not bookable until it is published.
Class series#
Use the Schedule section to create one dated session or a repeating series for the same class. Each scheduled session has its own date, time and bookings. For changes across upcoming dates, see Managing Class Series and Editing Future Class Instances.
Class configuration#
Class image#
Add an image in the class details and preview how it is cropped before saving. Keep important faces and text near the center so they remain visible on different screen sizes.
Recommended upload size
Use a clear, landscape image. Check the image control's current size guidance before uploading.
Where your class image appears
The image can appear on class listings and the booking page. Preview both the card and larger view when the editor offers them.
Safe area guide
Keep essential content away from the image edges, where different crops may trim it.
Technical Requirements
Use one of the file formats and size limits shown by the upload control. If an image is rejected, check those limits and try a smaller file.
Basic information#
Give the class a clear Name and a short description of what customers will do. Add a Sub-heading if it helps explain the level or format. Choose a Category to help customers browse related classes; Categories explains how to manage them.
Teacher and location#
Choose an Instructor and Location on the class page. When your location uses rooms or spaces, select the right one before creating a schedule. If you cannot choose an instructor, check the person's setup in Admin > Settings > Staff and Admin > Teachers. See Managing Locations for locations and spaces.
Class tags#
Tags are internal labels used by business workflows such as reporting and instructor pay. They are not a substitute for public Categories. Add a tag only when it has a clear purpose for your business; customers do not use tags to browse classes.
Publishing classes#
Setting up the schedule#
In Schedule, choose Create Series for the first schedule. Set the dates, start and end times, instructor, location and room or space where required. Review the preview before saving. You can extend a recurring series later from the same section.
Configuring pricing#
Review How it's sold on the class page. The available purchase options depend on the class type: a standard class, workshop and course are sold differently. Check that the intended price or linked offer is shown before publishing. For class packs and passes, see Class Coverage for Products.
Going live#
A new class starts as a draft. Once its setup is ready, select Publish on the class page or list. The Schedule menu can also offer Go Live for draft sessions. Review the class on its public page after publishing: a saved schedule alone does not make a draft bookable.
Troubleshooting#
The class is not visible: Check the selected business, the class's draft or published status, its schedule and its public visibility setting.
There is no booking option: Check that an upcoming session is live and that How it's sold has a purchase option that applies to it.
A schedule will not save: Check the required instructor, location, room or space, dates and times, then read the error shown by the form.
Best practices#
Start with the name, class type and planned run. Add the instructor, location, schedule and purchase option before sharing the public page. Check one customer booking path for the exact class you plan to sell.
One class with multiple sessions vs. separate classes#
Use one class with several scheduled sessions when they share the same description and offering. Create separate classes when customers should see different listings, such as two workshops with different names or images. A course is a defined run whose purchase and booking behavior differs from separate workshop sessions; compare the formats before setting one up.
