Use Waivers & Terms to manage the documents your business makes available in customer workflows. This article explains the product workflow. It is not legal advice; review your wording with the right advisor for your business.
Open Waivers & Terms#
Go to Admin > Settings > Waivers & Terms.
Built-in templates#
The page can show these built-in document templates:
- Privacy Policy
- Customer Waiver
- Membership Terms
- Gift Card Terms
Select a template to review its content and set it up for your business.
Custom documents#
Select Create Custom to add a document for your business. The form includes a name, URL slug, description, content, and an Active switch.
Before adding one, decide what the document is for, where it belongs in your customer workflow, and who is responsible for reviewing the wording.
Review and accept defaults#
When documents are not yet reviewed, the page shows either Review Your Documents or Set Up Your Documents. If the Privacy Policy and Customer Waiver are already configured, choose Mark as Reviewed. If they are not configured, choose Use Default Documents to set up the defaults quickly.
After a review is recorded, the page shows a Documents Active status and the last review date. Read the documents and confirm that their wording is appropriate for your business before using these actions.
Customer compliance#
The edit page can show an Active switch and, for an existing document, a Required at booking switch. Use these controls to configure the document's place in your workflow.
When you edit document text, the page shows Change type with Minor edit and Material change options. Choose the classification that matches the change you made, then save the document. The page explains how each choice affects customers who already accepted the document.
The customer details workflow can also show document-related status. Use the current status and the document settings together when investigating a customer record.
