Provider profiles describe the people who deliver classes or services for your business. In many studios this means teachers. In appointment-led businesses it can also mean other service providers.
Use this article to find the page that owns each part of the setup: staff access, teaching profile details, provider assignments, and payroll.
Where provider setup lives#
Use these areas:
- Admin > Settings > Staff to invite a person and manage their access
- Admin > Teachers to review teaching profiles, profile details, stats, and public profile actions when available
- Admin > Services, then open a service to review Providers & availability and Resources & locations
- Admin > Payroll for the payroll workflow
Staff access and delivery details are managed in separate areas. Use the labels shown in the current page when your business setup differs.
What a provider profile can affect#
The relevant record depends on the task:
- Teaching profile details are edited under Admin > Teachers.
- Provider assignment for an appointment service is reviewed under Admin > Services, inside Providers & availability.
- Staff access is reviewed under Admin > Settings > Staff.
- Payroll work is opened from Admin > Payroll.
A teaching profile and a staff record are separate records. Review both when you need to update profile details and staff access for the same person.
Set up a new provider#
- Go to Admin > Settings > Staff if the person needs a staff record or invitation.
- Open Admin > Teachers to review the teaching profile, if one exists.
- Edit the profile fields shown there, such as full name, primary style, profile image, bio, and Instagram handle.
- For an appointment service, open Admin > Services, choose the service, and review Providers & availability.
- Review the service's Resources & locations and other setup sections shown on that page.
- Open Admin > Payroll when you need the payroll workflow.
Use the current page actions to confirm whether a teaching profile is available to link or whether a provider is assigned to a service.
Public profile details#
On a teaching profile, review the fields shown in the Edit dialog:
- Full Name
- Profile Image
- Bio
- Primary Style
- Instagram Handle
Use Public Profile from the teaching profile when that action is available. See Public Profiles for Staff Who Teach for the related workflow.
Appointment provider setup#
For an appointment service, open Admin > Services and choose the service. Review Providers & availability, then check Resources & locations and the other service sections shown on the page.
If customers cannot find appointment slots, start with the provider assignment and the availability or resource settings shown for that service. The service page also shows whether the setup is ready to accept bookings.
See Create Appointment Services and Set Availability Schedules.
Payroll setup#
Open Admin > Payroll for payroll work. The Teaching Team also has a Payroll action. Review the current payroll pages for the workflow used by your business.
See Pay Rules, Teacher Payout Calculator, and Payslips.
