Private feedback is labeled separately from public feedback in staff review views. Use it to understand class experience and decide what follow-up is needed.
Use this article when you are reviewing comments from customers and deciding what action your team should take.
Public vs private feedback#
Public feedback#
Public feedback is labeled Public and has an approval state. Approved public feedback may appear on a public teacher profile when the relevant profile and class visibility settings allow.
Private feedback#
Private feedback is labeled Private and appears in staff review views. Treat it as internal feedback. It can help with:
- Spotting a recurring issue
- Understanding class experience
- Supporting a teacher with context
- Following up with a customer
- Deciding what follow-up is needed
If you are considering any public use, confirm the customer's permission and follow your normal approval process before using the comment.
Where feedback appears#
Feedback can appear in different places depending on your role:
- Admin > Teachers > [teaching profile] for Feedback Management, Public and Private counts, and approval controls
- Teacher > Profile > Feedback for All Feedbacks, public and pending counts, and approval controls
- Staff > Profile > Feedback for the same feedback view in the Staff app
The public teacher profile can show approved Public feedback for public classes. Keep Private feedback in the staff review workflow.
How to review private feedback#
- Open Admin > Teachers > [teaching profile] or the relevant Teacher or Staff feedback view.
- In Admin, choose the Private Feedback tab. In Teacher or Staff, review the feedback label.
- Read the rating and comment together with the class and date.
- Look for repeated patterns, not only one-off comments.
- Follow up through your normal customer or team process if action is needed.
When to act#
Act when private feedback points to:
- Safety or wellbeing concerns
- Repeated quality issues
- Confusion about a class format
- A teacher needing support
- A customer who needs a direct reply
Naayya helps organize the signal. The owner or manager still decides what action is appropriate and whether any public use has the required permission and approval.
