Public feedback is labeled Public. Review it before approving it for a public teacher profile, and confirm the relevant visibility settings are in place.
Use this article when you are deciding which feedback is appropriate to consider for public display.
Public feedback vs private feedback#
Public feedback is intended for outside readers. Review it before approving it for inclusion on a public teacher profile for an eligible public class.
Private feedback is labeled Private for staff review. Do not move it into public use without the customer's clear permission and your normal approval process.
See Private Feedback.
Where public feedback appears#
Public feedback can appear in:
- Public teacher profiles when profile and class visibility allow and the feedback is approved
- Admin > Teachers > [teaching profile] for Public and Private counts and Feedback Management
- Teacher > Profile > Feedback or Staff > Profile > Feedback for the feedback list and approval state
The exact display depends on the public profile, class visibility, and approval state. Confirm those settings before describing a comment as publicly available.
Review before approving#
Before approving feedback, check:
- Is the comment clearly about your business, class, or teacher?
- Does it include personal or sensitive information that needs a privacy review?
- Is the language suitable for a public page?
- Is the feedback type Public, not Private?
- Is the feedback approved, or does it still need review?
- Does the comment need follow-up before publishing?
What not to publish#
Do not move a comment into public use when it includes:
- Health details or sensitive personal information without the required privacy review
- Private complaints
- Comments about another customer
- Anything labeled Private
- Feedback that requires a support response first
Use testimonials responsibly#
Good testimonials are specific and honest. A short comment about a teacher, class format, or customer experience is more useful than generic praise.
Before using a quote, confirm that it is labeled Public, approved, and eligible for the intended public teacher profile. Approval alone does not make a comment visible on every public surface.
