Create digital gift cards in Admin > Gift Cards, then share the link to your public gift card page. Customers choose an available amount and complete the purchase from there.
Before You Start#
Set up Get Paid and your business's gift card terms. Admin > Gift Cards shows any setup requirement you still need to complete. Review the terms for your business before using a suggested template.
Creating Gift Cards#
Go to Admin > Gift Cards and select New Gift Card. Add a name, choose how long the card is valid, set the amounts customers can buy, and review its appearance before saving.
Configuration#
The form lets you set Name, Valid for, and Price Options. Offer the amounts you want customers to choose from; the public page displays those choices on each active card.
Design#
Use the design controls and preview to check how the card will look to a customer.
Managing Templates#
Cards in the admin list show whether they are Active or Inactive. Only active cards appear on the public gift card page. Open that page after changing availability to check what customers see.
Sales Tracking#
Open the Sales tab in Admin > Gift Cards to review purchases and redemption activity. Use the record for a specific sale when helping a customer with its balance or status.
Where Customers Buy#
In Admin > Gift Cards, select Copy Store Link. Open the copied link to check that your active cards and amounts appear, then share it on your website, in email, or with a customer. For one specific card, the card's admin entry also offers Copy gift card link.
On the public page, a customer chooses a card and amount, then follows checkout. Delivery choices include sending it by email now, sending it later from an account, or keeping it for themselves. The choices shown depend on whether the purchaser is signed in.
How Recipients Get Gift Cards#
A purchaser can send a card to the recipient by email or share its claim link. If they choose to send it later, they can manage that after purchase from their account. Ask the purchaser to check the delivery details at checkout.
The recipient uses the claim link to add the card to their account wallet. See Wallet and Gift Cards for the customer's steps.
Redeeming Gift Cards#
Claiming#
The recipient opens the claim link and signs in or creates an account to claim the card. The balance then appears in their wallet for that business.
At Checkout#
For an eligible purchase, the customer can apply available wallet balance at checkout. Wallet balance cannot be used to buy a gift card or pay for a membership. If it covers only part of an eligible purchase, checkout shows the remaining amount to pay.
Key Details#
Gift card balance belongs to the business that issued it. The Valid for choice sets the card's validity period; check the terms and expiration shown to customers before sharing the offer. Refund and expiry questions should be answered from your business's current terms and the specific purchase record.
Expiration#
When creating a card, choose its Valid for period. Customers should be able to see the applicable expiration in their card details. If a customer asks about an older card, check its record in Sales rather than assuming it follows your current template.
