This guide covers the shortest practical setup path for a new business in Naayya.
The path depends on whether you offer classes, appointments, retail, or all three. Set up Get Paid before creating class and appointment pricing.
For a map of the workspace and its main areas, see Platform Overview.
1. Check your business profile#
Go to Admin > Settings.
Review:
- Business name and public slug
- Timezone
- Currency
- Logo and banner
- Public listing visibility
- Contact details and social links
The timezone and currency affect schedules, booking times, payments, and reports. Set them before creating a full timetable.
2. Add locations and resources#
Go to Admin > Settings > Locations.
Create each place where customers attend sessions. Add resources when capacity depends on rooms, courts, equipment, chairs, workstations, or other bookable spaces.
Use resources for anything that should not be double-booked.
See Manage Locations and Resources.
3. Invite the right staff#
Go to Admin > Settings > Staff.
Invite people with the access they need. Teaching access and admin access are related, but they are not the same thing.
Use:
- Staff for people who need access to the business workspace
- Teaching Team for people who need a public teaching profile, payroll setup, or teaching stats
- Roles & Permissions when you need to understand what someone can see or change
See Adding Staff Members.
4. Create bookable sessions#
If you run classes, go to Admin > Classes and create the first class series.
If you run one-on-one appointments, go to Admin > Services and create appointment services, resources, and availability.
Before publishing, check:
- Location or resource
- Teacher or provider
- Capacity
- Schedule
- Booking window
- Whether customers can book online
See Creating Classes or Create Appointment Services.
5. Set up payments#
Go to Admin > Settings > Get Paid.
Connect your payment account and complete any required verification. The New Product action for class and appointment pricing needs a connected payment account. Check your account status before moving on.
If you also take cash, bank transfer, or other offline payments, review how those are recorded so reports stay clear.
See Set Up Get Paid and Record Offline Payments.
6. Create offers customers can buy#
For class and appointment offers, go to Admin > Products.
Create the offer types you need:
- Drop-in for a single class offer
- Class pack for a class offer with Limited or Unlimited under Class Limit
- Membership for a class offer with membership settings
- Service for one appointment
- Service pack for several appointments
For physical goods, go to Admin > Shop.
For gift cards, go to Admin > Gift Cards.
For class-based products, review class coverage before you share the offer. Regular passes cover standard classes by default, while workshops, experiences, events, and intentionally narrow offers need explicit coverage.
See Product Types Overview and Class Coverage for Products.
7. Review booking rules and policies#
Review these separate settings pages:
- Admin > Settings > Booking Rules for guest checkout, payment mode, and booking windows
- Admin > Settings > Policies for cancellation rules and refund or forfeiture behavior
- Admin > Settings > Waivers & Terms for waivers and terms, if required
Put constraints next to the workflow they affect. For example, set cancellation rules before customers rely on them.
For message channels and notification controls, see Notification Settings.
See Booking & Checkout Settings, Booking Policies, and Waivers & Terms.
8. Share your schedule or storefront#
Customers can book from your public business page. You can also share your public pricing page, an individual offer, a gift card page, or a website embed.
Use:
- Admin > Settings > Website Embed for the schedule widget
- Admin > Products for a Public Link to an eligible class pack or membership
- Your public Pricing page for customers who want to compare those offers
- Admin > Shop for physical goods
- Admin > Gift Cards > Copy Store Link for gift cards
See Website Integration, Share Class Packs and Memberships Online, and Gift Cards.
9. Run one test booking#
Before sending links to customers, make one test booking from the customer side.
Check:
- The right class or appointment appears
- The correct products are offered
- Checkout uses the expected payment mode
- Confirmation messages make sense
- The booking appears in Admin
- Attendance or appointment management works afterward
After that, you can invite customers, add your website embed, and start operating from the live workspace.
If a test booking does not appear or a step is blocked, use Common Issues & Solutions for the first checks.
