Activity Categories

Use categories and colors to organize classes and make the timetable easier to scan.

Activity categories give activities a name and color so staff can organize them and customers can recognize them in public calendars.

Use names such as Pilates, Yoga, Barre, Personal Training, or Workshop when they match the way your business works.

Open categories#

Go to Admin > Settings > Categories.

Select Add category, then enter a name and choose a color. Select Create to save it.

What categories affect#

Categories help with:

  • Naming and organizing activities
  • Choosing a category when creating a new activity
  • Scanning the timetable by color
  • Helping customers find activities by category in public calendars where category filters are shown

Use clear names that staff and customers understand.

Category colors#

Choose a color from the palette or enter a custom color when you create or edit a category. Colors help people scan the timetable quickly.

Keep the color system simple. If every category uses a similar color, the calendar becomes harder to read.

Before deleting or changing a category#

Categories are archived rather than deleted. Before selecting Archive, check whether active activities use the category. Existing activities keep their category, but the archived category does not appear for new selections. Select Restore to make it available again.
